Jared Kushner, the son-in-law, and adviser to the US president, Donald Trump, is believed to be under the scrutiny of the FBI in the investigation related to Trump’s association with Moscow. The investigation believes that Kushner may be holding vital information concerning the investigation.
FBI would be examining possible links between Donald Trump and the Kremlin, and will try to unearth Russia’s covert role in US presidential elections which Donald Trump unexpectedly won. The investigation is headed by sacked CIA Director, Robert Mueller.
At the same time, it should be noted that Kushner being monitored by the FBI, does not mean he is suspected of committing a criminal offense. According to the US Media, the investigation team is keen to explore the details of the meeting of Kushner with Russia’s ambassador to the US Sergei Kislyak and few Russian Bankers.
Donald Trump himself has clearly rubbished any Russian involvement in the US election victory. He labels the FBI probe as “the biggest witch hunt in American history”. The Russian authorities have also rejected that they tried making an attempt to influence the outcome of the American elections. President Vladimir Putin has even declared that US is “developing political schizophrenia” in the country.
