As India-China border dispute along the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh remains uncertain, the Indian Army has strengthened its presence in Uttarakhand after reports of a Chinese army build-up in an area on their side of the LAC.

And in eastern Ladakh, which is part of the western sector, the Indian Army has deployed additional forces and has intensified round-the-clock monitoring of the LAC through UAVs.
The Indian Army has also reportedly raised its presence in Uttarakhand following reports that Chinese additional soldiers were stationed in the Guldong sector. The enhanced Chinese presence was reported to have taken place over the last few days, following which the Indian Army strengthened a brigade located in the area with additional units.
Meanshile, as reports emerge, reports claim that China may have deployed around 5,000 soldiers on its side of the border in the Ladakh sector where India has also sent military reinforcements to fortify its defences along the Line of Actual Control.

Indian and Chinese army soldiers are standing face-to-face at four locations along the LAC and various rounds of talks, including a meeting on Monday, have failed to end the standoff that started with violent skirmishes three weeks ago near Pangong Tso.
China’s state-run media has described the latest tensions as the worst since the 2017 Doklam standoff that lasted 73 days.
