In the Anantnag encounter, three militants were killed by security forces in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday, police said.

Following inputs about terrorists in Khulchohar area of the south Kashmir district, the Indian security forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO).

The operation turned into an encounter after the militants fired upon the search party of the forces, who retaliated. The gunfight is underway, police said. An AK-47 assault rifle and two pistols were recovered from the site, the Indian Army said.
