Another Pakistani Cricketer Boasts Of Anti-Hindu Treatment

An old video of former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has emerged on social media where he boasted of smashing a TV at his home after he saw his daughter trying to imitate a Hindu ritual on an Indian daily soap.

Why is Islamabad Planning to Ban Indian TV Channels in Pakistan?

In the video, Afridi is asked by the host if he ever broke a TV in his home, to which he promptly replies: “I smashed my TV once, because of my wife. These daily soaps on Star Plus were quite popular then.

“I had asked my wife to watch them alone and not with the kids. I saw one of my kids performing ‘arti’ (the Hindu ritual) while watching a Star Plus show. I then smashed the TV inside the wall.”

The video of Afridi is doing the rounds on social media at a time when former team-mate and speedster – Shoaib Akhtar made a startling allegation that his teammate Danish Kaneria faced discrimination at the hands of a few Pakistani cricketers, who were reluctant to even eat with him because he was a Hindu.
