Balochistan Is The Future Of Pakistan, Help Its People To Battle COVID-19: Pakistan Army Chief

Pakistan Army Chief  – General Qamar Bajwa ordered all his officers to reach out to people in remote areas of Balochistan to help alleviate hurdles faced by masses due to coronavirus, according to a statement of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“Balochistan is future of Pakistan and it is our duty to fully assist its government and the people towards a peaceful and prosperous province,” Bajwa was quoted by ISPR during his visit to Quetta, the capital of Balochistan.

During the visit, the Bajwa attended a presentation at Southern Command Headquarters, visited garrison quarantine facility for and interacted with soldiers. Bajwa also inquired about the security situation, operational readiness along the volatile Pakistan-Afghan and Pakistan-Iran borders.

The Pakistan Army chief was notified about the formation’s assistance to civil authority in battling the pandemic and renewed measures for socio-economic improvement of the area, read the statement.

During the visit, Bajwa acknowledged the formation of facilities developed as per health SOPs and guidelines. While interacting with soldiers, Bajwa complimented their commitment and professionalism, according to ISPR.
