“There are questions if I will team up with fellow actor Rajinikanth in politics. If Rajnikanth enters politics, I will surely join hands with him,” Haasan was quoted saying. At the same time, Kamal Hassan made it amply clear that he will not enter politics in a rush.
Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth were seen together last month when they attended the 75th-anniversary celebrations of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagama’s in Chennai. While Haasan sat on the stage with DMK working president MK Stalin, Rajnikanth was seen sitting in the audience section and paying close attention to the addresses made by all the leaders.
“Preparations to float a political party is in progress and a formal communication is possible within a week. This announcement could either be planned on 30th September which is Dussehra or on 2nd October when India celebrates Gandhi Jayanti.
Haasan’s plans to float a political party has long been anticipated as he has constantly criticized the ruling AIADMK government on Twitter. Haasan showed no reluctance in hitting out at Chief Minister Palaniswami and other ministers in the state government, which clearly indicated his hidden ambitions.
Actor Rajnikanth has so far not given any clear hint of joining politics, even though his adventure of joining the lucrative business is not ruled out. In case both the veterans join hands, it will be challenging for any political party in Tamil Nadu to keep them away from the top position.
