Civilians Face The Heat In India-Pakistan Cross Border Shelling

Four civilians were injured after Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC), the Inter-Services Public Relations of Pakistan stated.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said: “Indian security forces resorted to unprovoked firing of heavy weapons including mortars along LOC in Lepa valley intentionally targeting the civilian population. “4 innocent citizens including 2 women and a child got injured,” it added.

On the Indian side, one civilian was killed and 4 others injured in firing by Pakistan in the Tangdhar sector of Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday night.

According to reports, Pakistan resorted to indiscriminate shelling and firing on Indian defence positions and villages close to the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir.

Some of the shells landed in the residential areas in which one civilian was killed and 4 others were injured. Some houses were also damaged in the shelling from Pakistan. The Indian Army stated that they gave a befitting reply to Pakistani aggression and is responding in equal measure.
