CSTO Nations To Send Military Delegation For Victory Parade in Moscow

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) nations have agreed to send their military delegation to the Victory Parade in Moscow in 2020, which will be held to commemorate the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This was announced after the meeting of the CSTO Council of Ministers of Defense in Bishkek.

Following the meeting of the heads of the military departments of the CSTO countries, 11 documents were signed, including the draft plan of consultations of the organization’s representatives on foreign policy, security and defense in the second half of 2019 – the first half of 2020, the draft decision of the Council of Ministers of Defense on the implementation of the UN counter-terrorism strategy and a document on the dates and venues of the upcoming joint exercises of the CSTO countries, which will soon be held in Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan. 

During the meeting, it was also decided to hold the next meeting of the CSTO Defense Ministers Council in Bishkek in November of this year and to engage the military units of the organization in a military parade on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, which will be held next year in the capital of Russia.

The ministers of defense of Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan also took part in the meeting in Bishkek.
