French President Macron to Attend FIFA World Cup Finals in Moscow

French President Emmanuelle Macron, along with his wife Brigitte plan to attend the FIFA World Cup Finals 2018, which will be held in Moscow, the Russian Capital on July 15. This was reported on Wednesday by Agence France-Presse (AFP)

France achieved a place in the final of the FIFA championship, beating strong Belgian side on Tuesday in St. Petersburg with a score of 1: 0. The final match of the tournament will be held at the Moscow stadium “Luzhniki”. The French national team will meet the winner of the match between Croatia – England.

The scheduled trip to Russia by French President Emmanuelle Macron will be his third trip this year. In late May, the French President, at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, took part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. On Tuesday, July 10, he attended the semifinal match of the World Cup in St. Petersburg.

Talking on the victory over Belgium, President Macron expressed confidence that the national team will become the world champion. President Macron repeatedly told about his love for football, which he began to get involved in as a child. According to his confession, then he dreamed of becoming a professional football player, like Frank Soze or Michel Platini. He played in the elite national team of the Strasbourg administration striker.
