India needs to adjust its mindset and restore confidence after the Doklam standoff, a Chinese expert told Global Times after India recently criticized China for the delay of its high-speed train project.
An analysis of India’s Mobility Directorate on the situation of high-speed rail projects which covers a total area of around 492 km connecting the Chennai-Bangalore-Mysore passage, says the projects were delayed because China failed to answer to the ministry’s communiqués,” according to Press Trust of India.
The report quoted a senior railway official as saying that the Doklam issue played a major role in China’s failure to respond. China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group, the organization which the Press Trust of India claimed had solicited meetings with Indian officials in 2016, said that they have no information about the alleged delay.
