India Deploying Missiles In Kashmir; Planning To Strike Pakistan – FM Qureshi

Later, Pakistan’s foreign minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi said on Thursday that he has written to the United Nations accusing the Modi Government of deploying missile launchers in Jammu and Kashmir.

Asif Ghafoor – the Pakistan Army spokesperson had tweeted that the provocative statements made by the Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat regarding the preparations for escalation along the LoC aimed to divert the world’s attention from the citizenship law passed by the Modi government.

Qureshi meanwhile stated that he apprehends that India plans to launch an attack on Pakistan to divert global attention from human rights violations in Kashmir. These are “Indian actions that continue to increase tensions in an already tense environment in South Asia,” Qureshi said, urging the UN respond to the purported moves by the  Modi Government.

The Pakistan foreign minister also alleged that India has partly removed the fence in five areas along the Line of Control of the heavily militarised Kashmir.

Earlier, Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat said that situation at Line of Control (LoC) can deteriorate anytime. General Rawat asked the soldiers to remain on high alert to face any kind of situation at the LoC.
