India-Israel Relations are boosting technical collaboration between two nations. Economical surgical devices, energy and mobile phone projects are the Israel-India projects that are to welcome funding from a joint technology innovation fund set up by the two nations to boost collaboration between researchers and organizations.

As per Times of Israel, the executive board of the Israel-India Industrial R&D and Technological Innovation Fund declared the four first beneficiaries for grants from the fund, which was launched earlier this year after the visit of India’s PM Modi to Israel.
“These grants comprise an essential milestone in the continuation of the valuable partnership between Israel and India,” Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry Eli Cohen announced in a statement, announcing the winning ventures.
Bacsoft, the maker of IoT devices, and Energy Efficiency Services an energy service organisation of the Indian government, will work together on promoting the water and energy productivity in villages in India through the application of water and electricity management systems and the Internet of Things ( IoT) monitoring devices.
Ubiqam and Frog Cellsat Limited — a producer of radio frequency equipment — will work together to improve mobile solutions for the Indian cellular market to help alleviate the interference in cellular networks and enhance network quality.
Agrosolar Irrigation Systems and Vyoda Private will jointly build solar energy-based water pump systems for irrigation that are cost-effective, productive and suitable for any type of well, to improve electricity production and reduce the cost of maintenance.
Sanoculis and Appasamy Ocular Devices will work together to develop economical surgical devices to help ophthalmologists treat glaucoma in India at reduced prices.
“The highlight of this capital is building a breakthrough tool that can aid the Israeli entrepreneurs” to enter the vast Indian market. The capital, which will award $40 million over a period of five years to Indian-Israeli projects, announced the second call for collaborative proposals. The areas of focus of the second call for proposals remains similar to the first and includes the areas of agriculture, energy, healthcare, information and communication technologies, besides water.
