Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Wednesday said that situation at Line of Control (LoC) can deteriorate anytime. General Rawat asked the soldiers to remain on high alert to face any kind of situation at the LoC.

General Rawat’s remarks came in the backdrop of an escalation in unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir in the recent days.

On Tuesday Indian Army claimed to have had foiled a BAT (Border Action Team) aggression by the Pakistan Army along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir and killing two Pakistani Special Services Group (SSG) commandos. There was no confirmation from Islamabad.
The SSG is the special operations force of the Pakistan Army tasked with their five primary missions: foreign internal defence, reconnaissance, direct actions, counter-terrorism, and the unconventional warfare being their most important mission.
