“To date, the Security Council has presented 13 options for revenge [for the murder of Suleimani],” Fars quoted him as saying . Shamkhani added that “even the most gentle of them can be a historical nightmare for the United States.”
According to Shamkhani, “Americans know that they are vulnerable to Iran.” “If US forces do not want to leave the region on their own, then we will force them to do so,” said the Security Council Secretary.
The United States assassinated Major General Qassem Soleimani, the head of the elite Quds force who spearheaded Iran’s military influence in the Middle East. After the attack, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council vowed: “severe revenge” on those involved in the killing of Soleimani, blaming the US for the attack.
