Will Iran quit the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action 2015 next? After the US pulled back from the Iran Nuclear Deal in May, other signatories of the deal pledged to commit the JCPOA but now Iran has threatened to pull back if the deal is unable to save Tehran’s interests. Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, leader of Islamic Revolution said on Wednesday that Iran could too walk out of the JCPOA which is popularly known as the Iran Nuclear Deal.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei met the President of Iran and other cabinet ministers in Tehran on Wednesday. He stated that the Iran Nuclear Deal will be redundant if it fails to save the national interests of Iran and then Iran can come to a conclusion wherein it decides to leave the deal. Iran signed the deal in 2015 with P5+1 nations which included China and Russia among the top supporters of Iran and the JCPOA.
Would Not Negotiate With The US: Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei
The leader of the Islamic Revolution also stated that Tehran is unwilling to negotiate with the US at present. He also accused the US of being brazen and irrelevant. He added that the US rather wants to bring Iran to the negotiable table for Washington’s own good adding that Tehran will hold no talks with the US officials given the present state of affairs. He also called out to the European nations to stand with Iran in the wake of the US sanctions.
He also touched upon the economic woes of the nation and said that Iran must go full force and large-scale proficient work to fight economic threats. He also urged the Iranian officials dealing with the economy to work day in and day out to battle the odds which have been unleashed by the US sanctions.
When the US pulled out of the JCPOA unilaterally in May, it fetched criticism from Russia and China which extended their commitment of saving the Iran Nuclear Deal.
