The Indian Intelligence Bureau (IB) has warned that global terrorist organisations like Al Qaeda and the ISIS are scheming to target the Jewish and the Israeli communities living in India.

According to reports, online messages intercepted by the intelligence agencies have unveiled that the two terror groups have ordered their operatives to attack the Jews and Israelis living in the country. A Kerala-based jihadi outfit, according to reports, has lately conducted a recce of a Jews colonies in Kochi.
The report states that popular attractions like Freemason Temple, Sarvothamam Masonic Temple and Koder Hall in Kerala’s Kochi face a grave threat from the Jihadis. The Al Qaeda and ISIS-inspired terror groups may even kidnap the Israeli tourists travelling to India, the intelligence agencies warned.

In view of the intelligence warning, the states having significant populations of Jewish communities have been informed about the possible terror attacks. The IB inputs said that hotels frequently visited by Israelis tourists could be a likely target for the terror groups.
The reports have warned that the potential targets in India could include Israeli Embassy in New Delhi, synagogues, Jewish schools, restaurants and hotels frequented by Israeli nationals in New Delhi and other cities.
