Murder Of Sikh Youth, Attack On Nankana Sahib Is Not Minority Persecution – Pakistan

The Pakistan Foreign Office (FO) criticized Indian media for making a mole of a mountain over the murder of one Sikh youth in Peshawar and attack on the holy Nankana Sahib.

BJP Government Will Now Send ‘RSS Goons’ To Kashmir To Massacre Muslims – Shah Mehmood Qureshi

“It is an attempt to divert attention from the ongoing state terrorism in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K) and systematic discrimination against minorities in India,” the FO said in a statement.

Earlier, Ravinder Singh – a 25-year-old Sikh man was killed in Peshawar two days after a mob attacked a gurdwara at Nankana Sahib. Singh was shot dead in Peshawar by an unidentified man, according to reports.

Ravinder Singh was a resident of Shangla district at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He had come home from Malaysia and gone to Peshawar to shop for his wedding. After killing Singh, the killer called Singh’s family, the police said, according to ANI.

Islamabad insisted that India’s attempt to divert attention will not cover New Delhi from the global disgrace over the illegal actions in Jammu and Kashmir and passing the discriminatory Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC).

“Pakistan attaches the highest respect and sanctity to all places of worship, including those belonging to Sikh religion,” emphasised the foreign office. The statement added that it was quintessential of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and BJP to propagate blatant lies but this illustration “will fail”.

India-Pakistan Agree To Kartarpur Border Corridor To Celebrate 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak

“The Sikh community, the world over, is aware of the importance that the Government of PM Imran Khan attaches to the minorities and their places of worship,” “The historic opening of the Kartarpur Corridor on 9 November 2019 is a clear manifestation of the Prime Minister’s vision in this regard.” the FO spokesperson said.

Furthermore, Islamabad condemned India’s attempt to politicise the tragic killing of a Pakistani Sikh youth terming it “mischievous and reprehensible”. The FO said that a high-powered committee was constituted to investigate the matter soon after the crime was reported. “The law will take its course and those responsible will be brought to justice.”

“Pakistan is a diverse country where people from different faiths, including Hindus, Sikhs, and Christians, live together. The Constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights to all its citizens and the Government takes this obligation seriously with zero-tolerance against any discrimination.”

Pakistan Blasts Kashmiri Journalist Over False Allegations, Spreading Lies

“The RSS-inspired BJP Government has absolutely no credentials even to pretend that it is a protector of minorities,” said the FO. “Those who are responsible for the desecration and demolition of the Babri mosque, massive killings of thousands of Muslims in Gujarat, frequent incidents of mob lynching, and repeated hate crimes against minorities, simply have no feet to stand on.”

“Rather than feigning any dishonest concern for minorities elsewhere, the BJP government would do better by focusing on the ongoing human tragedy at home and protecting India’s minorities from saffron terror,” reads the FO statement.
