Pakistan PM Imran Khan denounced former PM Nawaz Sharif and stated that the opposition has only one agenda i.e. how to fight the government and the army.
According to the newspaper Nawa-e-Waqt quoted by the BBC, during a conversation with the editors of TV channels, Imran Khan said that Sharif’s speech would have been widely hailed in India.

Earlier, Pakistan’s main opposition parties joined hands to launch a new campaign against the PTI government led by Imran Khan and the Pakistan Army for their involvement in the country’s domestic politics.
The leaders of the country’s two main opposition parties, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), joined with a coalition of other regional political parties to hold a ‘show of alliance’ again the Imran Khan government in Islamabad – the Pakistani capital.
The six parties and other smaller organisations signed a declaration announcing the creation of the “Pakistan Democratic Movement” (PDM), aimed at holding nationwide demonstrations against ‘incompetent’ Khan.
“The [Pakistan Army] establishment should stop every kind of interference in politics forthwith,” said the declaration, which also attacked PM Khan of failing to the run the country efficiently.
Speakers at the conference included former PM Nawaz Sharif, his younger brother Shehbaz Sharif, former Pakistani president Asif Ali Zardari and his son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and many other top politicians.
They reemphasised their claims that the Pakistan Army had rigged the 2018 election to help Imran come to power.
They also raised the question of an anti-corruption “accountability” process since Imran Khan came to power which has seen top leaders like Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari convicted in various cases.
On Sunday, Nawaz Sharif, speaking for the first time since he left Pakistan on medical grounds attacked the Army and said – “Either we have martial laws in the country or a strong parallel government is created whenever we have a civilian government. Our foremost priority is to get rid of this non-representative, incapable and selected government.”
Nawaz Sharif’s offensive against powerful Pakistan Army was broadcast live in the country. Next day, Planning Minister Asad Umar termed Nawaz Sharif’s criticism of the Army as “anti-Pakistan”, stating the civilian government was working hand-in-hand with the Army to govern the nation.
According to the newspaper Nawah-e-Waqt cited by the BBC, during a conversation with the editors, Imran Khan said that Nawaz Sharif has become depressed. He also said that Sharif’s speech against the Pakistan Army was widely celebrated in India.
