One Pakistani Frontier Corps (FC) soldier was killed and two others injured during a heavy exchange of fire with terrorists after they attacked an FC check-post in North Waziristan.
According to a statement by Director General Inter-Services Public Relations Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, “terrorists raided an FC post in North Waziristan district near the Pak-Afghan border”.

“During the exchange of fire, two terrorists were killed,” said Maj Gen Ghafoor.
The area is one the seven tribal districts in erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) – Bajaur, Khyber, Kurram, Mohmand, North Waziristan, Orakzai and South Waziristan – before its merger with K-P.
