Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Bajwa visited the highly contested Line of Control amid all the tensions between India and Pakistan. Bajwa reiterated his resolve to protect the country, saying there will be “no compromise on Kashmir” at any cost.

“Our quest for peace must never be misconstrued as weakness. There will never be a compromise on Kashmir whatever the cost,” the chief of army staff (COAS) made the remarks during his visit to the Line of Control (LoC) on Monday.

The visit came days after Indian troops attacked the Pakistani outposts which resulted in numerous casualties. There we also reports that the Indian Army had captured some villages in Pakistan administer Kashmir which New Delhi rejected.

Earlier, Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi wrote a letter to the UN saying that India has made new deployments of Bramhos missiles and anti-tank Spike missiles across the border.

Pakistani PM Imran Khan also warned India against launching any cross border strike in an attempt to divert attention from its domestic political problems (referring to the citizenship bill).
Meanwhile, the Director-General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh said that the Pakistan Army is making all efforts to support terrorists infiltrate Jammu and Kashmir under the disguise of ceasefire violations.
“The Pakistan Army is making a lot of attempts to mobilize terrorists towards our side and they also resort to ceasefire violations,” Singh told reporters. “They bring terrorists to launch pads and resort to ceasefire violation, causing loss to civilians and troops”, he said.
