Pakistan Likely To Acquire Russian SSJ-100 Jets

Russia is exploring the possibility of selling SSJ-100 aircraft to Pakistan, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told reporters. The Sukhoi Superjet 100  is a regional jet designed by Sukhoi which took its maiden flight on 19 May 2008 and its first commercial flight on 21 April 2011.

“We interact directly with Pakistan Air. We have agreed that in January we will continue working on it, taking into account the fact that we must work out the destination network together with our colleagues. It concerns the possibility of supplying from 6 to 16 SSJ-100 aircraft,” he said.

Earlier on December 11, the Russian delegation headed Denis Manturov, arrived in Pakistan on a one-day visit to attend the sixth meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
