Pakistan Says Another Indian Attempt To Malign Pakistan Fails Badly

India has urged all nations to act against “Kashmir cells” set up by Pakistan at its missions abroad, asserting that they incite violence. However, Pakistan media has criticized Indian actions and have called it another failed attempt by New Delhi to malign Pakistan.

According to PTI, in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha, Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said the Pakistan foreign minister declared a decision to establish “Kashmir cell” in Pakistan’s Foreign Office and Missions abroad. “The key purpose of these cells is to provoke local people and radicalise them through false propaganda,” he said.

“The government has urged other countries to realise the dangers posed by the so-called ‘Kashmir cells’ which openly incite violence and to take appropriate action against such ‘cells’ operating from their soil,” Muraleedharan said.

In response to another question, he said India has categorically and unequivocally rejected Pakistan’s blatant misrepresentation of facts and concocted narratives at the global fora, including at the United Nations.

“As a result of the government’s efforts, Pakistan’s attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of India; to present an alarmist situation of the region; and its abuse of international fora, including the United Nations, have been successfully and effectively thwarted,” he said.

Earlier, Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had announced the creation of a ‘Kashmir Cells’ in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as at Pakistani embassies in all major countries. The seven-member committee had been formed on the PM Imran Khan’s directives on August 6, 2019, after India abolished Article 370 of its constitution, revoking the special status granted to Kashmir.
