Khan said these lines during the inaugural session of a two-day international conference on Kashmir titled “From Gardens to Graves: Kashmir in Resolutions and Solutions” at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML).
Masood attacking the Modi Government said that the fascist Indian regime should cancel the actions on Jammu and Kashmir which granted special status to the region. Khan also requested the UN to realise that Kashmir is not a bilateral matter between India and Pakistan is a major international dispute.
Masood blasting the Indian Government said that New Delhi must understand that – “Fighting for independence cannot be called terrorism but having thousands of troops deployed in the region is certainly an act of terrorism,” Masood asserted.

He criticised the global community for not speaking up about the ruthlessness of the Indian army on innocent Kashmiris just because of the meagre economic benefits (taking a jibe at the UAE and Saudi Arabia without naming them)
Earlier in 2019, UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir held meetings with Pakistani PM Imran Khan, Pakistan Army Chief – General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi but stayed away from issuing any strong statement against India over Kashmir.

While Saudi Arabia expressed concern over India’s unilateral decision to scrap Kashmir’s special status the UAE called it New Delhi’s internal matter and even honoured the Indian PM with the highest civilian award, the Order of Zayed.

Other Gulf countries – Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman also stayed away from the matter. Only Turkey, China and Malaysia openly supported Pakistan over Kashmir.
