Recently, Iran blamed Pakistan backed terrorist for abducting 14 Iranian border guards from the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchistan on the border with Pakistan. With no action, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri has demanded that Pakistan should aggressively work towards releasing the Iranian border and not hamper relations between two nations.

“Based on agreements between the Armed Forces of the two countries to ensure security of common borders, we expect the Pakistani Armed Forces to adopt the necessary preparations and push for the immediate release of the abducted soldiers and border guards,” Baqeri said in a phone call with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
In a statement issued on October 16, Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said terrorists had abducted the Iranian border guards near the town of Mirjaveh on the Pakistani border.
The Jaish ul-Adl terrorist group claimed responsibility on its Twitter account. Baqeri also called on Pakistan to take “immediate and harsh” action to arrest terrorists behind the abduction.
The Iranian commander emphasised the significance of boosting the presence of Pakistani forces along the borders areas to promote peace and security in the border areas.
The Pakistani general, according to the report, expressed grief over the abduction of the Iranian forces and assured the Iranian counterpart that the Pakistani army will hunt the terrorists.
