A member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Ahmed Majdalani – in statements to local media said that the emergency meeting of the Palestinian leadership will discuss the next Palestinian action plan in the light of the challenges imposed by the decision of US President Donald Trump.
He explained that the meeting “will be linked to the Palestinian plan of action for the next phase, and strengthen the status of the State of Palestine in the United Nations and its international organizations.”

The meeting of the Palestine Liberation Organization leadership is the first since the last Trump decision on Jerusalem, and comes after a series of talks held by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas with the leaders of many Arab and foreign countries, and announced his readiness to go to Saudi Arabia and then France to continue its efforts against the decision of Trump.

For his part, a member of the Central Committee of the Fatah movement Azzam al-Ahmad said in a statement to Radio Voice of Palestine, that the Central Council of the Palestine Liberation Organization – the most important framework after the Palestinian National Council – will be held in a meeting in the mid-next month.
He added that calls were made to all factions, including Islamic Jihad and Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), which said they were considering the participation “in view of the seriousness of the challenges imposed by the decision of Donald Trump.”
