How Para SF Commandos Neutralized Five Terrorists & Sacrificed Their Lives in Kashmir

A total of five Indian Army soldiers from the elite Para-SF were killed when thwarting infiltration attempts into Jammu and Kashmir, while also neutralizing all five militants in a fierce battle.

According to reports, five Para-SF commandos of the Indian Army were killed over the weekend along the Line of Control in Kashmir after an extraordinary fight with the terrorists who had infiltrated into India, the Indian Army said on Monday.

The encounter took place in the Keran sector on Sunday with all five terrorists killed. The bodies of the Para-SF commandos and the terrorists were found barely two to three metres from each other, an Indian Army officer said.

The Para-SF commandos killed in action were Subedar Sanjeev Kumar from Himachal Pradesh, Havaldar Davendra Singh from Uttarakhand, Sepoy Bal Krishan from Himachal Pradesh, Sepoy Amit Kumar from Uttarakhand and Sepoy Chhatrapal Singh from Rajasthan.

A wreath-laying ceremony was held at the headquarters of XV Corps where Lieutenant General BS Raju gave tributes to the commandos. Later their mortal remains were dispatched to their respective homes towns in an Indian Air Force plane.
