PM Modi addressed and mingled with top market leaders at the Business Symposium on “Make in India, Digital Partnership and India-Japan Partnership in Africa. He also counted the grades of developmental works India has done in recent years, which includes metro rail construction in several places, smart city development, making of high-speed corridor constructions etc.

On the talk of India and Japan relations, PM Modi added that the two nations share and support core democratic values and the policies for cooperation and development shared by the two countries are alike.

The comfort of carrying out business procedure is the top priority of his government. “When I took over the duty of the government in 2014, India was at a 140th place in the ‘ease of doing business’ ranking of the World Bank. Now India has climbed up to 100th position and we are working towards better ranking.”

During the Business Symposium he pitched in for India’s software and Japan’s hardware can work together to perform wonders. He added, “In India, low-cost production is an advantage for businesses. The motive behind this is the aggressive labour cost in the country. Likewise, our IT industry is one of our major strength.”

He stressed that India is accelerating towards becoming a global hub of manufacturing and research due to enterprises like ‘Make in India’ programme.

Calling for collaboration between the two Asian giants, Prime Minister Modi restated that the mutual assistance will be highly valuable.
