Saudi Arabia is going to allow women to witness the sports competitions in the stadium for the first time. Officials said that this will happen from next year.
Women in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam will be able to enter the stadium but only in the ‘Family’ Sections.
This is the latest step towards giving more freedom to Saudi women. There are strict rules for women’s living standards in Saudi Arabia.The 32-year-old, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been advocating his ambitious reforms as specified in his “vision for 2030”.
But recently the Saudi government had taken a historic step by removing restrictions imposed on women’s driving. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is highly active in the campaigning for modernization of Saudi society and economy.
Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia has said that necessary arrangements for women in stadiums will be made so that people can go with their families from the beginning of 2018.
So far only men in Saudi Arabia’s stadiums were allowed. Monitor screens will also be installed along with the arrangements of restaurants and cafes. Every improvement in Saudi Arabia seems to be credited to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
