The Russian defense ministry has released two calendars for the year 2021, showing images of the UAV, also known as ‘Inokhodets’. “The Defense Ministry of Russia shows the ‘Inokhodets’ reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial vehicle,” a statement from the ministry read.
In the calendars, the drone can be seen with beam holders under its wings, which are used to carry armament and ammunition.
The Orion drone is a medium-altitude, long-duration unmanned aerial system, which has a maximum take-off weight of 1 ton and a maximum payload weight of 200 kg.
In addition, the drone has a service ceiling of 7.5 kilometers, flight endurance of 24 hours with the standard payload, and can acquire speeds up to 200 km/h.
Apart from the drone, the calendar also shows photos of the fifth-generation Sukhoi Su-57 stealth multi-role fighter, the BMPT-72 ‘Terminator’ tank support combat vehicle, and the heavy Armata infantry fighting vehicle.
