French Military In Ukraine Will Be A ‘Priority Target’ For Russia – Kremlin Warns At Security Council

France must keep in mind that Moscow will consider the French military deployed in Ukraine a priority target, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, said at a Security Council meeting.

“When planning to send regular soldiers (to Ukraine), Paris should remember an important thing – they will be considered as a legitimate and even priority target for our army,” Nebenzya underscored.

Nebenzya added the West has already brought Ukraine to the edge of the abyss, sucked out almost all its resources, and robbed the population of the right to a decent future. Now, they are starting to jitter because they were unable to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia or at least weaken it.

“It can be stated that the scale of the North Atlantic Alliance’s participation in keeping the Kyiv wards afloat is much wider than they are trying to imagine in Washington and Brussels,” Nebenzya concluded.

Earlier, in an interview on French TV, Macron recently said, “If the situation should deteriorate, we would be ready to make sure that Russia never wins that war. (Anybody advocating) limits (on aid to Ukraine) chooses defeat.”

Macron said it was important for Europe not to draw red lines, which would signal weakness to the Kremlin and encourage it to continue its invasion of Ukraine. He refused to give details on what a deployment to Ukraine might look like. “I have reasons not to be precise. I’m not going to give (Putin) visibility,” he said.

Other accounts quoted him as admitting that the French “defense industry is not equipped for high-intensity war.” He pointed out, “But we have increased our production capacity by three times. We will also produce weapons in Ukraine, closer to the front.”

Macron mentioned the production of CAESAR SPGs: “The authority of the EU will be zero if Russia wins the war. I can’t believe Putin will stop after Ukraine. We will produce about 75 CAESAR guns. They will all go to the Ukrainian Front.”
