The statement from the White House said:” Kim and Trump had very good and constructive meetings and discussed various ways to advance denuclearization and economic driven concepts.”

Although, the two leaders ended their meeting without any agreement amid disagreement over sanctions relief and conflicting accounts of Pyongyang’s demands. “No agreement was reached” between Kim and Trump on the second day of their second summit in Hanoi”, said the White House adding that the two countries looked forward to meeting in the future.

Trump ended the summit early and said:” Kim wanted the sanctions lifted in their entirety, and we couldn’t do that.” In exchange, Trump said the North Korean leader had offered to dismantle his nation’s main nuclear facility at Yongbyon.

At the press conference, Trump told reporters saying,” he and Kim each had certain visions that were not aligned but got much closer than a year ago. We have to walk … There is a gap.”

After a two-day summit between the leaders collapsed, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un pledged to meet again with President Trump to continue nuclear negotiations.
