Sri Lanka Cricket will send a security delegation to Pakistan next month. This was confirmed by the SLC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ashley De Silva to the Managing Director (MD) of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Wasim Khan.

Pakistan will be hosting two Test matches for the ICC Test Championship against Sri Lanka which is scheduled for October. Delegates from both the nations examined the feasibility of holding the Test matches in Pakistan during the annual meeting of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
According to sources, the Sri Lankan board officials have consented to send a security delegation in August for evaluation. The decision will be conveyed to the security delegation after the officials return home and then the PCB will be verified of the expected dates accordingly.
PCB has conveyed its desire to host the two matches in Lahore and Karachi respectively. The security delegation will review the situations of both cities and forward their findings to the SLC which will then make a decision on the tour.
