Law Impressed By T20 Cricket Series Arrangements

Security has been an issue for Pakistan Cricket and one of the main concerns voiced by foreign cricket teams. Over the last 9 years, ever since the attack on the Sri Lankan Cricket team bus in Lahore, the concerns have been raised by almost every foreign team. The current T20 Series was the first major international cricket series held in Pakistan after 9 years.

“The security has been outstanding, we haven’t seen any issues, any incidences and anything that may arose was communicated to us very well”: stuart Law

Last year, when the Pakistan Super League was organised in Lahore, countries like England and Australia backed out raising security concerns. However, the finals were held in Karachi and Pakistan deployed almost eight-thousand security officials to give the foreign teams effective security.

The reservations about security issues in Pakistan may start fading. The captain of the Pakistani Cricket team, Sarfraz Ahmed, said that it’s time foreign teams stop raising concerns about security as Pakistan is fully capable of hosting international cricket events. The victory against West Indies has pegged Pakistan’s position much higher in the T20 world cricket rankings.
