Ukraine International Airlines Could Have Collided With A Drone Or Hit By Missile: Journalist

Experts from the Ukrainian State Commission investigated the debris of Boeing 737-800 of the ill-fated Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) that crashed in Iran. This was reported by journalist Yuri Butusov on his Facebook page, citing a source.

Did Iran Confuse Ukraine Airlines With American Global Hawk Drone And Shot It Down?

According to Butusov, the Ukrainian State Commission rejected the Iranian version of engine malfunction. Butusov noted that the Iranian side has not yet provided data from air traffic control. Ukrainian experts lack information about which flying objects could have been flying near the ill-fated aircraft or if it was downed by a rocket, the journalist questioned.

“The Iranians are not going to keep anything secret from anyone, they are going to provide access to the investigation and decryption of the black box to all parties, including the Americans, aircraft manufacturers, as well as all countries whose citizens died, in accordance with the Chicago Convention,” said Butusov

The journalist hinted that it was unlikely that fire would have erupted in the cabin of the plane as there was a clear absence of any engine fire. “A possible terror attack, a collision with a drone or an anti-aircraft missile hitting the plane was very likely,” he concluded.

Two Lucky Passengers ‘Survive’ Ukraine Airlines Crash In Tehran

Earlier on January 9, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Aleksey Danilov said that Kiev is considering seven versions of the causes of the Boeing 737-800 disaster in Iran.

The Ukrainian International Airlines (UIA) flight PS752 came down just minutes after takeoff from Tehran on Wednesday, killing all 176 people on board, mostly Iranians and Canadians. The Boeing 737-800 was headed for Kiev, where 138 passengers were expected to take a connecting flight to Canada.
