After losing the presidential elections, rumors have it that Donald Trump is likely to lose his wife Melania Trump as well. The media is abuzz with the reports of Melania Trump “counting minutes before she can divorce Donald Trump”.
Former aide, Omarosa Manigault Newman, told the Daily Mail that the couple’s 15-year marriage was over and Melania is counting every minute until he is out of the office and she can divorce.
“If Melania were to try to pull the ultimate humiliation and leave while he’s in office, he would find a way to punish her.”
The rumors about the unhappy marriage between the US President and the first lady are not new. Melania Trump had waited five months before moving from New York to Washington, allegedly because the couple’s son Barron needed to finish school’.
As per Michael Wolff’s claim in his book “Fire and Fury”, Melania Trump had burst into tears – “not of joy” – when she learned that she would become the first lady of the United States. She had never expected him to win, as per the claims.
Whether these claims are true is not known but there have been numerous occasions when the camera has caught the strained relationship between the outgoing president and the first lady. Melania has been often caught on camera brushing off Donald Trump’s hand when he was trying to hold her hand in public.

Meanwhile, a CNN report has claimed that first lady Melania Trump along with son-in-law Jared Kushner advised him to come to terms with President-elect Joe Biden’s victory. Quoting sources, the CNN report said the first lady has privately said the time has come for him to accept the election loss.
However, the reports seem to be rumor-mongering as Melani has joined Donald Trump’s chorus of “fair elections”. She tweeted on Sunday: “The American people deserve fair elections. Every legal – not illegal – vote should be counted. We must protect our democracy with complete transparency.”

Trump adviser Jason Miller, apparently commenting on divorce allegations, has claimed reports “the FLOTUS story is also fake news”. He refuted the reports that Jared Kushner, also a senior White House advisor, told his father-in-law to concede after the US media projected Joe Biden’s victory in the presidential election.

Another reason to believe that these reports could be fake news is that Melania has repeatedly refuted claims of unhappiness in her role. Her spokesperson has said: “Mrs. Trump supported her husband’s decision to run for president and in fact, encouraged him to do so. She was confident he would win and was very happy when he did”.
During her speech in Huntersville, North Carolina, as part of Trump’s election campaign, Melania showered husband with high praises as she said:
“Under Donald’s leadership, our economy soared…..our president pulled us out of terrible NAFTA deal and established new USMCA, the Trump administration passed new tax code and established the space force.”

She praised Donald’s “total honesty” during a speech at the Republican National Convention. Despite the reports of frosty relations, she has maintained that they are “fine”.
Another former aide quoted by The Daily Mail, Stephanie Wolkoff, claimed Melania was negotiating a post-nuptial agreement to give Barron an equal share of the Trump fortune. Wolkoff alleged the Trumps had separate bedrooms in the White House and ‘a transactional marriage’.
A Sputnik report states that Melania described her former aide Wolkoff as a woman of “dishonest behavior”, saying that she routinely and secretly recorded her phone calls and released sections out of context.
However, the reports suggest that Trump’s prenup agreement with second wife Marla Maples prevents her from publishing any book or giving interviews critical of him and lawyers have suggested that Melania has likely agreed to a similar code of silence.
