Exultant students tear the poster down to the great delight of the spectators. The poster of the mosque is then replaced by one of a Hindu temple. The extremist Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) flag can be seen brandished in the backdrop.

It is believed that RSS leader Kalladka Bhat owns the school question. Srivastava said there would be serious consequences for politicising the children. “This is the future of education in India when the RSS-BJP takeover of society is complete, This is why it’s our duty to resist,” he wrote.

Earlier, Pakistan had expressed “deep concern” over India top court’s decision to clear the way for a Hindu temple to be constructed at the site of Babri Masjid, saying that it failed to “uphold the demands of justice”.

India’s Supreme Court ruled that the site in Ayodhya, where Hindu mobs destroyed the 460-year-old mosque in 1992, must be handed over to a trust to oversee the construction of a Hindu temple. Pakistan said that the rising tide of extremist ideology in India, based on the belief of Hindu supremacy and exclusion, was a threat to regional peace and stability.

It urged of the Modi government to guarantee the protection of Muslims, their lives, rights and properties and avoid being “yet again a silent spectator of Muslims becoming the victims of Hindu extremists and fanatics”.

Four Booked

The Karnataka police have registered an FIR against four governing council members of a school that made its students enact the demolition of Babri Mosque on stage as part of a cultural event. The school, Shri Rama Vidya Kendra, is run by an RSS leader. This function was attended by Union minister Sadananda Gowda and Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi, news agency ANI said in a report.

They have been booked for commuting a willful and malicious act designed to provoke religious sentiments and uttering words with conscious intention to hurt the religious feelings of a person.
