After Line Of Control, Pakistan Army Chief Visits Another Border Area Neighboring India

After visiting the Line of Control over escalating tensions with India, Pakistan Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday visited the Karachi Corps and Pakistan Rangers Sindh formations in border areas, according to the ISPR.

According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Bajwa during his visit to the formations appreciated the state of readiness of the forces “for response against any conventional threat”.

Pakistan’s COAS visit comes in the backdrop of growing tensions between India and Pakistan and recent border skirmishes where both India and Pakistani soldiers were killed.

Earlier, Pakistani PM Imran Khan today warned the global community that his Indian counterpart – Narendra Modi will “definitely” carry out an action of some sort in Azad Kashmir (Pakistan-administered-Kashmir) to divert the world’s attention from Kashmir and anti-Muslim citizenship bills that India passed recently.

Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Bajwa had earlier visited the Line of Control amid all the tensions between India and Pakistan. Bajwa reiterated his resolve to protect the country, saying there will be “no compromise on Kashmir” at any cost.

“Our quest for peace must never be misconstrued as weakness. There will never be a compromise on Kashmir whatever the cost,” the chief of army staff (COAS) made the remarks during his visit to the Line of Control (LoC) on Monday.
