Pakistani PM Imran Khan is determined to highlight the Kashmir cause and bring the so-called Indian atrocities in Jammu and Kashmir to global attention. Khan today called King Abdullah of Jordan and Frech President Emmanuel Macron and briefed them about the deteriorating situation in the Kashmir Valley. Earlier France snubbed Islamabad and extended its support to India on Kashmir issue and stated that it is a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan.
The Prime Minister said that India’s illegal and repressive policies in Jammu and Kashmir have not only led to a grave humanitarian crisis but also endangered peace and security in the region. Khan said through its unilateral and fascist actions, New Delhi is striving to change the demography of the disputed region, which is a blatant violation of the international norms and the UN Security Council resolutions.
Khan said that the international community must take notice of the Indian excesses and raise their voice for the oppressed people of Indian Occupied Kashmir. King Abdullah said that Jordan is closely following the developments in Jammu & Kashmir.
He called for a de-escalation of the situation and stressed for peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute through dialogue. He added that Jordan would consult other countries on the situation in Kashmir.
Khan highlighted the severe hardships faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir to Frech President Emmanuel Macron while accentuating the unprecedented lockdown of the entire population.
President Macron also underlined the importance of resolving all outstanding issues through peaceful means while appreciating Pakistan’s positive role in bringing peace in Afghanistan.
