Qaim:- The Iraqi army is on a constant attack by the Islamic State militants near the Anbar’s western town of Qaim, the security source was quoted saying Tuesday. This came across after a few days when the Iraqi forces seized the entire region from the militants.
According to the sources from al-Rafidain channel, the militants attacked army posts in the Husaiba region. The Iraqi army repelled the attack with extensive support from U.S.-led coalition warplanes.

After arriving in Qaim, Haider al-Abadi, the Iraqi Prime Minister raised the Iraqi flag in Husaiba border crossing with Syria on Sunday, as a sign to declare its liberation
from Islamic State militants.
The Islamic State militants has captured the large areas of Iraq and Syria to establish the self-styled “caliphate” in 2014. Since then the Iraqi government forces along with paramilitary troops and U.S.-led coalition, has been attacking a wide-scale campaign to recapture those regions.
According to the local authorities and human rights agencies, lakhs of civilians are being held as a human shield by the Islamic State terrorists in their Western Anbar havens after killing hundreds for attempting to escape.
The United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) released their monthly report. According to it, 114 Iraqi civilians were killed, while 244 others were heavily wounded as result of terrorist activities, violence and armed conflicts in the month of October.
The Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi has give a stern warning to the IS terrrorists for opening fire against the federal troops at disputed regions stating that whoever violates will not be safe at all.
During a press conference on Tuesday, Abadi stated, “Kurdistan’s authorities have suspended the negotiations between the military federal and
Kurdish delegations and conditioned a political agreement to resume the talks.”
“Any force or authority that targets Iraqi troops will not be safe in Iraq,” Abadi threatened.
