Pakistan, China Share Common Vision For Regional Growth & Prosperity – Pakistani Senate

Pakistan’s Chairman Senate expressed his views on Pakistan and China’s strategic partnership at CPPCC meeting. Both China and Pakistan will grow in terms of economic and social development, said Sanjrani to Gao Yunlong, Vice Chairman of CPPCC.

China’s CPEC Project Strengthening Pakistan’s Tourism Industry

The Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Gao Yunlong is the head of a delegation travelling to Pakistan. During his four day visit, Yunlong will also meet Pakistan’s President and other dignitaries in Islamabad.

The Chairman of Senate of Pakistan, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani said that Pakistan is proud of its extraordinary friendship with China and the recent visit of PM Imran Khan to China has added a new chapter in the bilateral relations of both the countries. Sanjrani emphasised saying, “parliamentary diplomacy can better develop an understanding on issues of mutual concern”. He acknowledged the fact that both China and Pakistan enjoy cordial parliamentary linkages which have resulted in the formation of Parliamentary Friendship Group.

Pakistan’s Senate Chairman said that there is a need to boost cooperation among the secretariats of the parliaments. He also said that the business delegations must exchange visits for boosting economic relations and the balance of trade between the two countries.

Regarding the CPEC, Senate said: “We are committed for its early completion to benefit from its potential for regional development. The ongoing mega projects under the CPEC including the international airport, hospitals, and professional training institutes need to be completed at the earliest”.

During his visit of China, the Vice Chairman of CPPCC gave special greetings of the Chairman CPPCC to Chairman Senate and thanked for discussion. The Senate said that China gives extreme importance to its relations with Pakistan as both countries share a common vision for regional growth. The Chairman Senate told the Vice Chairman that a high-level parliamentary committee of Senate would soon visit China.
