Pakistan’s Firm Joins British Sikh Association For Construction Of Kartarpur Corridor

Pakistan’s Hashoo Group and British Sikh Association have signed a MoU to work together for construction of the Kartarpur Corridor and other sites in Pakistan for Sikh pilgrims. 

The agreement was signed between the British Sikh Association and Hashoo Group to completely support each other’s measures for development of the Kartarpur Corridor and become familiar with their roles and responsibilities.

As per the MoU signed between the two parties, a suitable framework will be developed for implementation of the project. Both the parties will cooperate with each other in the promotion of the project including land procurement, press communications, and marketing strategy to raise the investments. They also agreed for mutual investment opportunities in Pakistan.

Both UK and Pakistan are willing to take forward Kartarpur corridor initiative. The team of officials from Pakistan held meeting with leaders from the British Sikh Community to discuss the framework of the corridor and related infrastructure. The officials who participated in the meeting include Ambassador Hameed Kidwai, Deputy Chairman of the Hashoo Group Murtaza Haswani and Hashoo Group’s Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer Steven Henderson.  The MoU was signed by Dr. Rami Ranger CBE on behalf of the British Sikh Association and Murtaza Haswani on behalf of the Hashoo Group.

“We are proud of the steps taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan and supported by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi for the development and opening of the Kartarpur Corridor, it will be a great benefit to both countries and is a blessing for the Sikh Community”, Dr. Rami Ranger said.

The Deputy Chairman of the Hashoo Group, Murtaza Hashwani, emphasised saying, “The Hashoo Group looks forward to supporting the British Sikh Association for the benefit of Sikhs globally.”
