The EurAsian Times is an Independent, Privately-Owned, Global, Virtual & Apolitical, English Language Digital News Site that specializes in reporting news and editorials on Global Affairs.

Established in 2014 as an Indian-Canadian digital venture, EurAsian Times has a strong editorial (online) presence in New Delhi, India with contributors and analysts almost from every continent specializing in an array of subjects.

ET specializes in penning analysis and OPEDs on International Defence and Global Politics and has been conducting deep, unbiased coverage on the Eurasian Region, Middle-East, South Asia and the Americas.

The news site also publishes interviews, personal narratives and reviews. A team of highly trained journalists, activists, defense experts, freelancers and artists contribute to the news site apart from the coverage by its staff writers and International News Agencies.

Editorial Board & Committee

Prakash Nanda, Chairman Editorial Board

Author and veteran journalist Prakash Nanda has been commenting on Indian politics, foreign policy, and strategic affairs for nearly three decades. He is the chairman (editorial board) and founding member of EurAsian Times.

A former National Fellow of the Indian Council for Historical Research and recipient of the Seoul Peace Prize Scholarship, he is also a Distinguished Fellow at the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies. He has been a Visiting Professor at Yonsei University (Seoul) and FMSH (Paris). He has also been the Chairman of the Governing Body of leading colleges of the Delhi University.

Educated at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, he has undergone professional courses at Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Boston) and Seoul National University (Seoul).

Apart from writing many monographs and chapters for various books, he has authored books: Prime Minister Modi: Challenges Ahead; Rediscovering Asia: Evolution of India’s Look-East Policy; Rising India: Friends and Foes; Nuclearization of Divided Nations: Pakistan, Koreas and India; Vajpayee’s Foreign Policy: Daring the Irreversible.

He has written over 3000 articles and columns in India’s national media and several international dailies and magazines.

Vice Admiral Shekhar Sinha

Vice Adm Shekhar Sinha is a former Chief of Integrated Defence Staff. He was a member of the Defence Acquisition Council between 2010 to 2012. Admiral Sinha is a naval aviator of the fighter stream and has flown over 2700 hours.

Admiral Sinha retired in 2014 as the C-in-C of the Western Naval Command based at Mumbai, with the additional responsibility of C-in-C Coastal Security, Western Seaboard. He holds an MSc and MPhil in Defence and Strategic Studies from the University of Madras.


Ambassador Gurjit Singh

Ambassador Gurjit Singh is a former Indian diplomat with 37 years of experience. He has been the Ambassador of India to Germany, Indonesia and ASEAN and Ethiopia and the African Union, besides having been in Japan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, and Italy on assignment.

He was the Sherpa for the first 2 India-Africa Summits and his book The Injera and the Parantha on India and Ethiopia was well received. He has also written books on India’s relations with Japan, Indonesia, and Germany.

He is an Honorary Professor of Humanities at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore. He Chairs the CII Business Task Force on Trilateral Cooperation in Africa. He comments on current events on TV and in journals. He is associated with the social impact investment movement and is working on expanding it in Africa along with other trilateral initiatives for B2B engagement.


Amit Cowshish

Amit Cowshish is a former Financial Advisor (Acquisition), Ministry of Defence. He was associated as a Distinguished Fellow with the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses, New Delhi, and as a Partner with Dua Associates, Advocates and Solicitors.

During his tenure with the Ministry of Defence, he was associated with all financial and contractual matters related to the procurement of goods and services for the Indian Navy, Coast Guard, Special Forces Command and the Army Ordnance.

Amit holds MA and M Phil degrees in Political Science from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and an LL B degree from  Delhi University. He is a member of the Bar Council of Delhi.


Nitin J Ticku – Director & Managing Editor

Nitin is a founding member, author and managing editor of the EurAsian Times. He holds a double master’s degree in Advertising & Journalism and Business Management (MBA) from The University of Glasgow, UK.

Nitin has nearly 20 years of global experience in Marketing & Communications, Journalism, Education and Social Media domain and widely worked & traveled across Europe, the Americas and Asia.

Nitin holds a special interest in defense and military affairs and has been penning and editing articles on various topics.
