Romania, Pakistan Boost Naval Ties; Vow To Deepen Military Relations

Pakistan and Romania have spruced-up their defence relations. Romanian Naval Chief, Vice Admiral Alexandru Mirsu has praised Pakistan Navy’s role in collaborative maritime security.

During a meeting with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi at Romanian Headquarters in Bucharest, both the high ranking officials looked forward to further improving the cooperation in diverse fields of naval collaboration.

The Naval Chief highlighted Pakistan Navy’s efforts for ensuring maritime security in the region through various peace initiatives.

During a separate meeting with Romanian Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Daniel PETRESCU, issues related to regional security and stability and mutual interest including bilateral military collaboration were discussed.

Lt Gen Daniel appreciated contributions of Pakistan in initiating various initiatives for securing peace and stability in the region. Both the officials acknowledged the need to further improving the bilateral ties in diversified military domains.
