Suspect arrested in the attack on the military near Paris

French police officers wounded and arrested the suspect in an attack on a group of soldiers in a suburb of Paris Levallois-Perret. The police pursued a man who disappeared from the crime scene in a BMW car, along the highway to the north of the capital. According to eyewitnesses on the spot, there was a car pierced with bullets. The suspect crashed into a car in a group of military men near the barracks around 8 o’clock in the morning. Six soldiers suffered, two of them – with serious injuries. According to the police, there is no threat to their lives.

The Paris prosecutor called the attack “an attempt to kill … related to terrorist intent”. French Interior Minister Gerard Collon said that the attacker acted alone.
