Trump Expresses Support To Benjamin Netanyahu From Japan

US President Donald Trump has expressed support for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as he tries to form his administration. In a tweet on Monday during his Japan visit, Trump reemphasised his fondness for Netanyahu and Israel.

Israel Was The Most Condemned Country at the United Nations in 2018

“Hoping things will work out with Israel’s coalition formation and Bibi and I can continue to make the alliance between America and Israel stronger than ever,” he said. “A lot more to do!”

Trump’s comment came as Netanyahu was facing potential corruption indictments and loss of favorability within his own party.

According to the Israeli regime, Netanyahu was reelected to a fifth term as prime minister after the last month elections. Hailed as a “great friend to the Jewish people” by Netanyahu, Trump has been boosting ties with Israel since he took office in January 2017.

The United States has always been under criticism for its relations with and support of Israel despite the regime’s atrocities against Palestinians and its blatant human rights violations in Gaza and elsewhere.

The US has particularly supported Israel militarily and its military aid to Tel Aviv has skyrocketed over the past several years.
