UAE Soldiers To Be Trained By Indian Army at The Indian Military Academy

The deepening of ties between India and the UAE is no secret. The UE today is India’s most trusted ally besides being the largest trading partner. India and the UAE have moved their relations beyond business as the Indian Military Academy (IMA) is to train the troopers from the UAE.

As part of the programme a 20-member UAE contingent reached the IMA on Wednesday, IMA spokesman Lt Col Amit Dagar said, here on Thursday.  The 7-week training, between July 18 and August 31, would include multiple military exercises, Lt Col Dagar said.

The Indian army has been promoting these kinds of defence training programs with a large number of militaries. However, this is the first time that the UAE officers and soldiers will be trained at the IMA.

The intercommunication among soldiers would go a long way in boosting the association between the two strategic allies. Earlier, the UAE contingent had participated in the 2017 Republic Day parade in New Delhi.
