Putin-Netanyahu Meeting: Israel To Discuss Iranian Presence in Syria

Vladimir Putin Benjamin – Netanyahu Meeting is scheduled for 11th July 2018. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intends to inform the Russian President Vladimir Putin that Jerusalem will not tolerate the consolidation of Iranian forces in Syria, during the vital talks in Moscow. 

“In the coming week, I will go to Moscow for an important meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, to ensure coordination in the field of security and, of course, discuss developments in the region,” Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said

“During the meeting, I will clarify two fundamental the principle of the Israeli policy: first, we will not stand the military consolidation of Iran and its allies in any region of Syria, and secondly, we will demand that Syria should strictly abide by the agreement on the separation of forces from 1974. “

“I also maintain constant contact with the US administration, these ties with the two great powers, Russia and the United States are vital for the security of Israel, especially now,” PM Netanyahu added.

Earlier, the press secretary of the head of the Israeli government Anna Jonathan Leus told TASS that PM Netanyahu would visit Moscow for talks with Putin on 11th July 2018.

The leaders of the Russian Federation and Israel met twice this year. Earlier, the Israeli PM visited the Russian capital on May 9, where he attended the military parade on the invitation of the Kremlin, dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Earlier, President Putin and the Pm Netanyahu met in Moscow on January 29 at the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center, where they took part in events dedicated to the International Day of Remembrance of the Holocaust and the anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade.
