US and Trump are our ‘Number one Enemy’ : Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

The United States is our ‘number one enemy’. Tehran will never succumb to Washington’s pressure over any multinational nuclear deal“. The statement was echoed by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Tehran whose speech was broadcasted all over Iran.

Donald Trump rejected to certify Iran’s compliance with the nuclear deal with other major powers. According to the deal, Tehran was supposed to curb the nuclear deal. In exchange, the United States would lift its imposed restriction regarding the progressive nuclear work.

Khamenei was hurt by Trump’s remarks on the people of Iran stating “The American president’s foolish remarks against our people show the depth of America’s hostility towards the entire Iranian nation.” He was delivering his speech to a group of students.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei “America is the number one enemy of our nation.”

The accord signed in 2015 seems to have no positive impact on the relationship between the two countries. Khamenei elaborated that the antagonism between the two countries since the 1979 Islamic revolution in Tehran would not get less intense because of the signed nuclear deal.

Donald Trump called the nuclear agreement as “the worst deal ever negotiated”. The deal was signed under the previous administration of Barack Obama. From the beginning of his regime, Donald Trump has consistently adopted a harsher approach to Iran over its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

According to Iran, its missile programme is solely targeted for the defense and military purpose. Washington has put on new restrictions on Iran to curb its missile activity, as it fears that Iran might use its nuclear powers to as a way to help antagonists of the United States.

The Americans are using all the wickedness to damage the result of the nuclear talks,” Khamenei said to chants of “Death to America” by students.

“Any retreat by Iran will make America more blatant and impudent”
